This is the office area - of course before I got "comfortable" and hauled all of my "stuff" in.
Unfortunatley, it doesn't look quite as nice - because I did get comfortable!
|
This is the "sitting" area and also the guest area. Things have changed since I took this. I am not
a "green" person and didn't like the cover on the futon, we've since gotten a "bed-sak" which
is kind of a fancy set of two sleeping bags zipped together with sheets inside. It's a nice gold color and makes making
up the bed a thousand times easier.
|
All I need now is a picture of my work space - and as soon as I get it sort of cleaned up, I'll post one. You know
how I feel, I'D RATHER BE MAKING THE BEADS!

This is the side view with the new awning. I think it's cute. It defines the side entrance and breaks up the vertical space.
And besides, it's cute.
|

New view up the steps. We had the steps covered in a textured rubber that is used in commercial applications. It will mean
less tracking of dirt into the house and hopefully no slipping.
|

After changing my mind, I only did one wall in color - I can add more later... it was a big step!

The "orange" is actually pretty soft, it has a nice glow. It's comfy even on overcast days.
|

They had painted the ceiling of the stairwell "orange" as well as the walls, from outside at night it appeared there
was a fire in the place! The white paint has toned it down to a comfortable level..

This picture does the bathroom (which is not finished)nojustice. I have tried several times and can't get the feeling of light.
But you can see the dichroic in the vessel sink. I will be glad to have everything hooked up and working - hopefully in
the next few days...

Too much sun shine but I am glad to see it! Have to add the shelves to the bookcases - they are a work in progress. I will
eventually have shelves on top of the bookcases and glass doors on them, You can see the bamboo flooring as well as a little
bit of the tile.
|

It was scarey at times - was it ever going to be done let along come together... and let's not talk about the amount of trash
(but they do use re-cycled materials for their boxes and they in turn are re-cyclable.)
|

Just another view, I love the ceiling fans. Ventilation and air movement will never be a problem!
|
|

The cabinets are from Ikea - do they have a 12 step program? Everything comes in flat boxes. I had it all delivered and had
their trained installers do the work. Just looking at all of the boxes and packages gave me a headache.

Cleaned up beautifully! I am geeked! I am putting all craft supplies into clear plastic boxes which are labled on the front
and on the side. It's the first time I've really had my own, complete studio space. The old one was built for me but never
completed with cabinets and finished lightin.
